In 2015, the Boston Globe called Bellows Falls ‘the front porch capital of the world’. Enjoy the walk, the history and architectural styles in our beautiful Village of Bellows Falls! Bellows Falls is known for its historic architecture, including the Flat Iron building with a mural depicting the village square, vintage signs on the brick mill buildings, and the 1923 train station. The area was first settled by the Abenaki people and later by English settlers who built bridges, mills, and railroads. The village is located on the banks of the Connecticut River and has a retro feel, with a walkable downtown.
