Town of Rockingham

Rockingham is a duly constituted Town in Vermont, chartered in 1753. The Town was founded in historic Rockingham Village and many of the first homes in Rockingham can be found on Meeting House Road adjacent to the Rockingham Meeting House.

Rockingham is governed by a Selectboard, and Municipal Manager, which manage the Development office, Finance office, the Town Hall, Highway Department (roads and bridges) and Recreation Department.

There are two Villages within the Town of Rockingham; Bellows Falls and Saxtons River, and three hamlets; Bartonsville, Cambridgeport, and Brockways Mills.

The Town Offices are located on the second floor of the Town Hall and include the Town Clerk and Finance Department. The third floor houses the Development Office, Municipal Manager, Listers and Planning, Resource Manager, Executive Assistant and Zoning.

The Town of Rockingham select board meet September – May on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 6 p.m. Summer Schedule varies with meeting per month.

On the fifth Tuesday of odd months, Saxtons River Village Trustees join the boards of Rockingham and Bellows Falls for a tri-board meeting 6 p.m.

Both Rockingham and Bellows Falls boards meet in the Lower Theatre of the Bellows Falls Opera House. All meetings are on zoom, meeting links at FACT TV facebook and recorded on Fact8.com
