The Bellows Falls Downtown Development Alliance (BFDDA) was founded in 1999 as a non-profit organization.
MISSION:
“To promote and support revitalization initiatives and economic development in the Bellows Falls Designated Downtown and coordinate with other community groups and Town and Village governing bodies.”
The Bellows Falls Downtown Alliance is supported in part by the Town of Rockingham and Village of Bellows Falls as well as the State of Vermont’s Downtown Vibrancy Grant, a part of Vermont’s Main Street America Downtown program.

Our Board is made up of volunteers and the Executive Director Casey Griffin, who work together to promote Bellows Falls businesses, both downtown and in the greater area, lead beautification efforts “Keep BF Beautiful” in the Designated Downtown and beyond, and work with Rockingham’s Development Office on economic development efforts in the Designated Downtown: Westminster St. from Hapgood to Rockingham St. and Williams, Canal and Bridge St., The Square, the Island and the Waypoint Visitor Center (home of the Chamber) and Under the Hill; to the Adam’s Gristmill and Riverfront Park.
Our Committees and Board meet monthly to plan, dream and scheme our annual events: Keep BF Beautiful events, Bellows Falls Parade of Lights, Shop Local and BF Rocks, Mom/Parent & Dad/Parent of the year, Town Wayfinding and Lighting projects as part of the Bellows Falls Complete Streets grant award from the ACCD.
We work closely with the Great Falls Regional Chamber of Commerce with promotion and volunteers for Old Home Days (weekend of the First Sunday in August), and Southern Vermont Flannel Festival (3rd Weekend in October).
In March 2026, we introduce ‘Running of the Hetty’s’ an almost 5k, with a themed run/walk in costume- think of Hetty Green in a black dress, black hat, veil…
