Sustainable Valley Group

A non-profit local development corporate whose mission is to help deliver a sustainable local economy through education, job expansion and sustainable business development.

Sustainable Valley Group (SVG)  began in July 2003 with a group of Springfield, Vermont residents. Their goal was to help generate a financially and environmentally sustainable economy. They began focusing on education by sponsoring public events on sustainable enterprises and activities including discussions on solar energy and other sustainable products.

SVG developed the Green Island Project on the Island in Bellows Falls, Vermont in 2011. The Green Island Project welcomes new, innovative businesses located at a transportation hub, adjacent to the train station.

SVG leases space, creates jobs and opportunities. Contact 802-376-9534 or info@greenislandvt.org to participate in this food hub for local farmers and processors.
