The Adams Grist Mill was built in 1831 and was an operating grist mill, grinding grain for local farmers for 130 years, closing in 1961. The Bellows Falls Historical Society formed in 1965 and became its guardian, to prepare the mill as a museum and provide tours of the facility. The mill will be 200 years old in 2031.
